The posting is most likely fake. When CWC displays his racism, he usually says "no blacks". The "Jew" thing however, I wouldn't be surprised if he had made any racist remarks about Jews. Aside from the things already said, I really hate how this guy reinforces stereotypes ranging from "autistics are socially incompetent" to "geeks are lonely losers". Thanks CWC.

I’m pretty sure that a guy wearing a Ralph Lauren rugby shirt from the late 1980s, sitting in front of Transformers posters and memorabilia, and wearing bling that looks like a — what the hell IS that thing, anyway? — doesn’t have much room to be picky about who calls them. The correct way to do it would be "who calls HIM," but I only mention it because you harp on people so much about grammar and punctuation.

Ah, no. The ED page pretty much sums it up- this is not fake. It's been separately confirmed by some girl who worked at a spray tan booth describing the polo and saying he sang at her storefront, screamed at his game boy and showed her his medallion. If you can wade through the porn Chris posted of a girl who polite to him and tolerated his presence then you'll see the evidence.

"Chris-Chan's" page like many others was , I think, created as sort of "extreme peer pressure" one of the main points of ED articles is to ridicule unacceptable behavior by responding in an equally or far worse way. The whole site is about 50 % sarcasm, (like this is so terrible, but also funny) 30% subject submitted content (re: Chris-Chan) and 20% self-referencing jokes (links to other very not G rated articles). It is terrible, it is cruel, and it is disgusting: but all of their subjects are too. Their subjects do border line unlawful(and often times very unlawful- many people on ED have called the local police on pedophiles, people who sexually abuse their animals and other disgusting things), violating, stalkerish, violent and indecent things ( Chris-Chan especially, a girl who pitied him at a local comic store ended up being publicly ridiculed with her real name , he created and posted pornography, that depicted her as a pink Sonic the hedgehog character as well as telling many people they were dating.) and ED displays all their ugliness. I think their aim for the site to be like "to catch a predator" and expose what people are doing online and remind them" people still see it, and that everything isn't okay online". Ironically enough. And as always a lot of them do it for the lulz.

Back in the days of Usenet, specifically on groups that were the prototypes of these kinds of schadenfreude sites such as the news.admin.net-abuse.* groups and alt.usenet.kooks, there was a standard of behavior known as "Formosa's Rule," to wit: "The truly insane have enough on their plates without us adding to it." CWC's asshatery is evident...equally evident is that he's either legitimately several gizzards short of a mcnugget, or a truly masterful net.troll/'performance artist.' Either way, while I find the inclusion of this particular ad on YSAC to be perfectly reasonable and appropriate, the larger body of 'work' such as the stuff at ED should clearly fall under Formosa for anyone who couldn't benefit from a few basketweaving classes at the local nuthatch themselves.

@cleaseltheweasel: Your "social experiment" idea seems pretty plausible to me. Several years ago I spent about three days stirring up trouble in message boards (I can't remember what site I was on now) as a stereotypical creationist / fundamentalist Christian. Even though my posts were deliberately filled with impossible leaps in logic, awful grammar, and obvious fakery, the attacks I got were sincere enough to be truly gratifying. I've long since outgrown such behavior, but I can certainly see how someone like CWC could be tempted to cultivate such a discharacter.

"...I’ve met one who was racist..." Out of curiosity, what exactly did you base that conclusion on? Racism is a pretty heinous accusation and, IMHO, overdiagnosed, but I'd be ESPECIALLY wary of calling a mentally disabled person racist.
