Wheel, wheel, made of orange,
Who’s the fairest …
damn it.

Fun fact about drmk: I have an irrational fear of Ferris wheels. I will ride the most ridiculous, over the top, dangle-your-legs-while-you-go-upside-down-and-sideways roller coaster you can imagine. I’ve bungee jumped, reverse bungee jumped, platform dived, and parasailed. I’ve gone scuba diving in the ocean in a country where I didn’t speak the language and was taught via handsignals in a hotel pool. But I am absolutely terrified of Ferris wheels.

I’m aware that that doesn’t make any sense at all — that’s why they’re called irrational fears. I’m pretty sure I could handle this fairest wheel, though. I mean, look how pretty it is.

Thanks, SD!

It certainly is bright. And round. And bright. But fairest? I’ll need to see all the other contenders first, please.

Toy store, toy store in the mall,
Which is the fairest wheel of all?

So you put the hamster inside it and he runs and makes it turn, is that it? And I take it the green thing on the right is his water bottle?

    Oh no you don’t, Sparky!

I know a ’68 VW Beetle engine when I see one. And, this one is missing a major component. Or are the hamsters extra?

I doubt the factory hamsters would be in minty condition after all this time, you’d probably have to make due with an aftermarket gerbil.

Yeah, but then I’d have to change them like every 200 miles. The hamsters would at least get me 500 miles. About the same number of miles I’d get off the mice in the battery housing.

I thought the factory hamsters only came with the Kias…

No, they came with the VWs, the Kias, and the Karman Ghias.

Factory Hamsters has got to be someone’s a capella N’Sync cover band.

This is not the fairest wheel of all! It’s prejudiced and can be bribed and gives unfair advantage to Hot Wheels sports cars.

“Fairest” is definitely too objective a term to accept Sparky’s proclamation as such. Especially since the title itself states this segregates between Matchbox and non-Matchbox.

I sympathize, Sparky. You were hoping to actually get something done over the weekend, but Fairest blew your days off.

You keep using that word. I don’t think it means what you think it means.

I can’t tell by the pictures if it’s smaller or bigger than a bread box, but it’s definitly bigger than a matchbox. So I’d say that Shawn Sparkinson here is not being fair in calling this the fairest wheel in the land.

I’ve been on Ferris Wheels even though I’m afraid of heights. The ones at fairs and carnivals aren’t an issue, since they usually aren’t too big. But there was one on a pier in Chicago that terrified me when I got to the top (didn’t help when the wind blew the hat off my head and into the water).

All that other stuff? Bungee jumping? Platform diving? No way. Couldn’t do it.

The ones at fairs and carnivals are even WORSE for me, because I know that those things are put together by meth-heads.

If I had to ride one, I’d rather do a giant permanent one like the London Eye. But even that gives me the willies, and when the Ostrimu and I went to London a few years back and had the opportunity to ride it, I nixed it.

It’s not a heights thing; I’m not even sure WHAT it is that terrifies me about them. They’re just scary.
