Below are gathered, for your viewing pleasure, 28 of the best/worst ads that have appeared on You Suck at Craigslist. These 28 posts have undergone a rigorous selection process using an algorithm consisting of page counts, randomness, alcohol and nepotism. If I’ve missed one of your favorites, please put it in the comments below.
You can vote for up to 10 of the ads, and you can vote once every 24 hours. It doesn’t reset at midnight or anything fancy like that; I think it’s 24 hours from the last time you voted, for those of you who are planning to stuff the ballot box. The title of the post is a link to that post.

It’s a REALLY tough call.
Anyone remember some of the really bizarre early ones? There’s one with some sorta afroman dummy. At least I think there is..I could be imagining it.
And wasn’t there a giant banana?
I think some of the early ones were overlooked just because there weren’t a lot of us around then. But it’s what brought me out of the bushes.

There WAS an afroman dummy. For the life of me, I can NOT figure out what was going on there. And looking back on some of them, I can’t believe I’ve been coming here for so long. I’m very proud to know you bunch of hooligans!

I’ve added the giant banana (CSA share), guatsusnake (ice cream), and acrobactial midget (we represent …).
I re-read the giant banana one just yesterday. I am sure there will be a sudden ‘splosion of votes as our cadre of commenters finish reading over old posts and making their selection. I expect, also, a dramatic uptick of comments on old posts.
Okay, see, this is why I did this. The ones that are up here are a combination of most page views, most comments, and nepotism [a few that I just really liked and/or was proud of]. But I’d forgotten about some of the really weird ones, like guatsusnake … and those deserve to be seen! (She said modestly.)
Keep the suggestions/vague recollections coming. Someone else on Twitter suggested the acrobactial midget post, which I’d completely forgotten about!
Oh, yes, I’ve been re-reading old posts this week and all the midget ones are pretty calassay.
Oh gods, I forgot about that one too! I need to change my vote tomorrow.
And thank you for making our Friday, nay, our WEEKEND that much more surreal. You do realize that now we will be on a scavenger hunt through the archives for the best snark of the past two years.

I’m quite partial to “I can has vampire?” myself. In fact, when I’m telling someone they should read this blog, I often direct them to that post.
“I can has vampire” doesn’t get enough love in my opinion. That was the first post that had me laughing until it hurt.

This week the building next door has been undergoing painting and scrubbing. I missed seeing any of the work being done, because I’m covertly watching the port-a-john and wondering if there are snakes in there.
I have been TOTALLY unproductive today with the walk down memory lane going on. If I could just read the original post, it wouldn’t be so bad but NOOOOOO. I gotta read the comments, too.

It let me vote for several, this morning. Then, it let me vote again because I’m on a different computer. Heh. Which is good, because I had earlier voted before the banana companion CSA share was added. And I love him.
Database Fail Live (#333) still makes me laugh until I cry. I just watched it about 10 times in a row with my 5 year old and we were both falling on the floor with tears in our eyes (of course, it’s funny to us both for different reasons). I guess it’s my sense of humor, but it’s about the funniest thing I’ve seen on the internet.
It’s inspiring me towards making a video of the TacoThong dance.*

I can’t believe in my first outing I pulled a near Matt. The only reason I posted in the first place was that the craig’s sucker annoyed me with his use of LOL. If I hadn’t have been so annoyed I may not have ever started posting. Sorry folks, you were so very close to having a sane comments section.
It wouldn’t be until 10 days later that I made my first trip to the box with the second ever appearance of the YSaC Haiku (Red table for sale). The first set of Haikus was in CXXIV: The Table.
I also noticed in my trip that YSaCers have been correcting my spelling just about as long as I’ve been posting here. As much as things change, they stay the saim.

looking through these posts and the comments made me realize that i’ve read pretty much every post on the site….! philip glass sells a table is probably my all-time favorite. i do also love the unblubler, and the french canadian pile. (though the pile of crap post is bizarre and really cracks me up, a lot of the stuff mentioned in it does sound pretty rad and unsucky.) but my OTHER all-time favorite is the one about the snacks in the dumpster. i’m not really sure why i find that one so damn hilarious, i think because it’s really [an attempt at] philanthropy. ‘dude there’s like hundreds of bags in there….’
