    Trailer chassis

Giving away a metal trailer chassis that is probably 14 feet long.

Just need it removed from the property as soon as possible.

It’s probably fourteen feet long. And I’m pretty sure it’s a trailer chassis. Maybe? It’s back that way somewhere, although it might be off to the left a bit. Actually, now that I think about it, it might also be a hay rake. Or possibly some sort of trebuchet. But I definitely want it gone. Whatever it is.

    Thanks for the post, Ralph!

    selling ford truck – $1200

$1200 obo this has been a good truck for me but i have to sell it because i cant ever get to it with all of the bees around it they have been in and around it for almost 2 months now and i havent been able to get near 5 feet or else i get stung and im sick of it i still have welts from months ago stingings and i cant even get to work because i cant get to my truck so i have to sell it test drives at ur own risk i cant go with you too many bees 308

Sara and Geoff both sent this one in. Sara points out that apparently bee stings cause a lack of punctuation.

I really … just … wow. If anyone has always wanted a truck that has had thousands of bees living in it for months, here’s your opportunity.

    89 honda civix – $1000

    good running car call 682-53-xxxx

Okay, the x is right next to the c on the keyboard. That’s a small mistake. There were, as far as I can tell from the Kelley Blue Book, eleven models of Civics manufactured in 1989 (and no models of Civix), so the lack of detail about which one is for sale here is somewhat of a problem. Not to mention that there’s no mention of trim packages, transmission, air conditioning, mileage, accident history, etc. Again, somewhat of an impediment to selling the car.

But the biggest problem is that this person appears to have posted his social security number instead of his phone number. I re-checked the ad a couple of days later, and it was still like that. Sigh.

[Yes, I’m aware they probably just missed a digit of the phone number. It still doesn’t help people who want to call about the car, does it? I can type those nine numbers into my Team Mobile phone all I want to, but it’s not going to accomplish anything other than irritating Catherine Zeta-Jones. On second thought, that might be worth it.]

Even when people DO post the right details, there can still be problems:

We can tell you’re not f$%^king happy — you’re shouting. Allow me to introduce you to my friend, the Caps Lock key. It turns on and off. Also, there are types of punctuation other than the exclamation point.

The surprising thing here isn’t that this fellow is getting divorced, it’s that anyone who would actually conceive of the term “Vaginamoney” and use it in a public setting — much less in an attempted retail transaction — would find someone who would marry him in the first place.

I’ve noticed that there are certain models of car I know for a fact I will not like the owner of.* In other words, the type of personality that would buy a Chevy Monte Carlo SS, for example, is a personality type that I will not get along with. I have (quasi-)empirical evidence to back this up — I have never met a Monte Carlo SS owner/driver that I like. Has anyone else had this experience (not just with Monte Carlos)? Based on this, I think I might have to tentatively add Cadillac Seville owners to that list. Anyone who judges their car’s quality based on the potential to ‘burn rubber’ has a vastly different set of priorities than I do.

*Yes, I ended a sentence with a preposition. I couldn’t figure out a better way to get through that one.

    Black Volvo XC 70 – $4300

Engine is in Excellent Shape, does not smoke, does not leak, nice and quiet. email for more pics and details. Leather seats.

Against this choice walks each incorrect gang. A gutter lurks across every undone fiddle. The benefit resists the faced shorthand over an adviser. Should a terminology peer near a spiral skin?

OOOooooh, goody, it’s Mad Libs time! Here’s the format:

    Has a/Is a/Did a/Will a (noun)  (verb) across/near/over/with/by/for each/every/a/an/the (adjective) (noun)?

Play at home. Report back. Here’s one of my results:

Is a penchant enrolling over every ashen trickle?

It’s also nice to see that the Volvo engine has kicked that nasty nicotine habit. I would get really tired of shoving the cigarettes into the radiator.
