PODEYOM MICK TWO FEET TALL! -$20

THIS IS A NICE FIND A MIKE THAT MOVES AROUND! CALL ME CHRIS HAS A HAVEY BOTOM! CALL ME CHRIS AT [redacted]

“Podeyom Mick” is clearly an anagram for “My Cooked Imp”*, which is obviously referring to Mike, who is only two feet tall but agile. I’m not sure why we’re cooking Mike, though. He seems a little … wiry. Seems to me as though Chris is the one who has been hitting the food trough.

    *Or “Icky Demo Mop”.

    Thanks, BianchiSound!

  • YSaC, Vol. 1651: Picc your poison.

Just for fun, here’s something that definitely gets the “trying too hard” tag but doesn’t actually suck. Rather the opposite, really.

4SP Silver Plated Gemienhardt Piccolo w/ hard case – $300

They call the trumpet “God’s Instrument.” The instrument that takes a month to learn and a lifetime to master. Forget that. I’m giving you the chance to own “Satan’s Instrument.” The instrument that takes a second to hate and a lifetime to get used to. If your goal is world domination, getting the ball rolling on the apocalypse, or simply disarming someone who’s a little too “rapey,” this miniature flute of terror will hold the game down. And how.

Brought to you by Lucifer himself, this 4SP Silver Plated Gemienhardt Piccolo will serve his evil minion well. From it’s compact arthritis-inducing body this pipe will unleash a sound that can bring entire crowds of people to their knees in pain and surrender. If you’re thinking of starting a bloody coup, leave the AK-47s and sarin gas at home son, this picc is all you need.

This instrument has the ability to sing an A five lines above the staff so crisp and clear that if you’re not careful may actually cleave your conductor’s brain clean in half. It’s highest note is one only dogs can hear, that composers have dubbed “X.”

Apart from the oboe, this is the only instrument able to kick a field goal of pain right between the goal posts of your unfortunate target’s neurons, resulting in synaptic misfires, blown mental fuses, and a complete breakdown of all left brain activity, leaving the right brain to writhe in pain and confusion whilst scrambling all bodily motor functions. Any soul unlucky enough to wind up on the business end of Beezulbub’s piccolo will instantly be reduced to the fetal position and revoked of their right to free will.

Aside from violating several Geneva Convention protocols, this wailing weaponry can produce frequencies that wreak havoc upon others by causing:
    – sudden unexpected nosebleeds
    – aphasia
    – heart palpitations
    – aneurisms
    – loss of sanity
    – unexplainable rage
    – spontaneous combustion
    – abandonment of the will to live
    – anal leakage

It’s a common mistake to think that the piccolo also has side effects on it’s user. Many claim it causes acute narcissism, but in reality the only people drawn to this instrument are already delusionally narcissistic, have serial killer tendencies, and show traits as promising future dictators.

Because of this instrument, I now rule over my own sovereign island, where I preach from balconies and lounge in my throne poppin’ bottles while getting fanned with palm fronds waved by ridiculously hot cabana boys. Tomorrow’s forecast: Whatever the hell I want.

Since I’m livin’ the dream, I’m retiring from my reign of terror and passing on the torch. Being evil is an arduous, exhaustive effort, and this musical scepter cannot be played by your average whitebread vanilla villain. Only the most cunning, dextrous, morally ambiguous, and questionably sane may apply. Who among you is worthy?

$300 obo. Willing to throw in a box of gravel and ship.

Fun fact: drmk owns her own piccolo, and knows how to use it. This ad is pretty much spot on.

Thanks, Kaitlin! You’ve won the prize of drmk NOT serenading you on the piccolo. Enjoy!

    Small pervy guitar amp

I have a small pervy guitar amp that I dont use anymore and I need money so I want to sell it.
It would come in handy if you dont want to carry around a large amp all the time.
I would like at least twenty bucks for it lol
If your interested call or text xxxxxxxxxx

Andy sends this one in, saying, “A Pervy amp doesn’t sound like a good deal to me. I wouldn’t let it in my house. It’s also not allowed within 100 yards of a school, and it has to check in with its probation officer once a week. Now if it was a Peavey (http://www.peavey.com/) amp, that’d be different.”

We’ve established before, though, that guitarists aren’t the sharpest lightbulb in the crayon shed. And as if we needed more evidence, here’s an ad sent in by Joel:

Squier by Fender with Fender amp & Epiphone Les Paul Standard – $1000

I am selling two of my guitars. I have a Squier stratocaster and an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Also including a small fender bronco amp. Both guitars are in excellent shape and are ready to play. the squier is black and the epiphone is a cherry sunburst. for both guitars and amp i would like to get $1000, but am willing to take best offer. I’ll sell the Squier and amp for $220 and the Epiphone for $450 if you prefer to buy individually. (only asking that cause that’s what i paid and i want to at LEAST get my money back). For information, text Andrew at xxx-xxx-xxxx or e-mail xxxxxxxxxxandrew@yahoo.com. thanks

Okay, you’re selling both for $1000, but you’ll take $220 for the Squier and amp and $450 for the Epiphone. Which, if I’m not mistaken, is … $670. Which is … less. Even if you meant to say you’d take $220 for the Squier and another $220 for the amp, that would still only add up to $890. Which is still less. So yes, I’d like to take all three, but I’d like to buy them individually, please.

    Of course there’s more … (more…)

  • YSaC, Vol. 360: The problem is you have to count to 4.

Brand new Tamporeen for sale! – $5

Brand new Tamporeen for sale! In perfect condition! Contact Kelly xxx-xxxx if interested

    360

Legend has it that Hemingway was once asked to write a story in six words. The result was “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” Somehow “Brand new tamporeen for sale!” isn’t quite as evocative as Hemingway’s missive, although it’s very sad to contemplate the possibility that Kelly couldn’t even get the role of the talentless girlfriend in the band right. (And that’s saying something. Even Linda McCartney played that role well.)

    Thanks for the submission, Rob!

hollow body electric!!!! WHERE ARE YOU

    let me know

Apparently this genius believes that all you have to do is yell out the name of the thing you want and it will magically appear for you.

Let me try: Ewan McGregor!!!! Where are you, Ewan McGregor?

    *looks around*

    Damn.

Or maybe he’s misplaced his own hollow body electric, and he’s calling to it to get it to come home, like a lost puppy. If B.B. King was doing this, he’d be yelling out “Lucille!!!!”, but maybe this guy hasn’t gotten around to anthropomorphizing his guitar yet.

Anyway, let me try this misplaced-item theory: car keys!!!! Where are you, car keys?

    *waits*

    Nope. Damn.

Or maybe he’s searching for the Whitman poem, “I Sing the Body Electric“, and stating in his own postmodern way that he believes the poem to be hollow. The venerable expert on poetry, Sparknotes, states that in Whitman’s poem, “[t]he body becomes sacred through its linkage with the soul; while it is only the soul’s helper or accomplice, it nevertheless does not deserve second-rate status, for it enables not only spirituality but also poetry.” Clearly this poster believes that by calling the body electric hollow, he is pointing out that a lack of spirituality leaves one’s soul hollow, as it were.

*nods* That must be it. Thank you, oh wise sage. You have saved my Craigslist-embattled soul.
