iPod Touch 8GB Brand new – $250
Brand new in box, iPod Touch 8GB music/video/wifi player.
I bought this from an Apple store. Only a small part of the back of the box has been peeled for the UPC used to send for a rebate. Otherwise, box is still sealed, unopened, and unused. This is the version with the software updates (John Lennon on box).

Wait, let me get this right: you’ve kept the UPC so you could send it in for the rebate? You mean the rebate Apple’s been offering where you get the full $300 purchase price of the iPod Touch back? So you’re going to get the rebate AND you’re trying to sell it on Craigslist for $250? Wow, slimy.
what rebate is this and how did i miss out?
It ran during Spring and early summer of ’08 — if you bought a computer and an iPod at the same time, you could submit the receipt and get a rebate for the iPod. I just thought it was sleazy that he was keeping the UPC so he could get the rebate AND was selling the iPod. Others might just see that as capitalism at work, I suppose, but it seemed sleazy to me.
I really see nothing wrong with this. I’ve done it myself with other “free after rebate” items.
But… there’s a picture of *John Lennon* on the box! C’mon, it’s a steal for that alone!
Hey, if $250 is a good price for an Ipod Touch, the guy is doing you a service, since you don’t have to buy the Mac computer like he had to.
